The Live Millipede Cam, which was trustingly left on the porch of it’s creator’s untrustworthy sister, has been unexpectedly and tragically hijacked by a 5-year-old.
The Live Web Cam had been featuring a special guest, Isla The Caterpillar, currently in chrysalis, when Hill’s cranky sister began to complain of equipment’s, “annoying buzzing sounds.”
A false alarm text was sent by said sister less than 24 hours later, rejoicing at, “The Arrival of Isla!”
Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that no such event had transpired. In fact, a large stuffed gorilla was suddenly appearing on the web cam in Isla’s stead. A seemingly innocent 5-year old of the same residence is believed to be responsible for this cyber-tampering, but it is doubtful that she acted alone.
The future of the live stream remains uncertain, but peace talks and negotiations are scheduled for next week.
Now I have a plan for the end of my Argentina animation!

On this first day of spring, let us rejoice together with this baby tub millipede, who made his brave ascent this morning from the depths of the bathtub drain, to arrive at Millipede Mecca, sniff the icy spring breeze, and take his first million steps.

Did you know that you can help support important projects at The Hill Site such as the 24-hour Live Millipede Cam, web hosting, or future travels?
I’m going to send a framed millipede drawing to the first three people who donate!
The Hill Site was featured this week over at www.travelswithmyart.com! My new friend Ali, an artist and travel blogger, put together a neat post about how artists are documenting their travels around the world. Check it out!
I am still plugging away at that animation. Also – it’s almost millipede season! So excited.
